Raj Aggarwal presented 2004 Distinguished Scholar Award

Raj Aggarwal
Kent State University in Ohio presented the 2004 Distinguished Scholar Award to its Firestone chair in finance, Raj Aggarwal, for his contributions to the university. This award was a part of the university Research Council’s 10th annual celebration of scholarship, a press release said.

The State of Ohio further recognized Aggarwal’s award and his congratulatory letter from the Senate of the General Assembly of Ohio read, “It is with great pleasure that we applaud you on being named a distinguished scholar and salute you as one of Ohio’s finest citizens.” According to a press release, Aggarwal is the author of 12 books and more than 50 scholarly papers in leading finance, economics, international business, marketing and management journals. Additionally, he has taught at Harvard, Hawaii, Michigan, Seton Hall and South Carolina.

He received an undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi; an M.B.A in operations management from Kent State University; and a doctorate in corporate finance and international business, also from Kent State. A recipient of several teaching and research honors, Aggarwal is fellow of the Academy of International Business and has been a senior Fulbright research scholar in Southeast Asia.
