N.J. fundraiser for Kerry-Edwards

The Asian-American community in New Jersey organized a fundraiser for Senator John Kerry on Oct. 14 at Royal Albert Palace. Approximately 120 people attended the $100 a plate event. There were special offers like $1,000 for a photo-op and $2,500 for being seated at the VIP table. Seen in the photo are, from left, Governor Gary Locke (D-WA); Ratepayer Advocate and president of Asian American Chamber of Commerce Seema Singh, who was among the six organizers of the fundraiser; New Jersey Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula; and Congressman Mike Honda (D-CA) at the event.
