Kanwar Bhutani is president of Tupperware’s U.S. operations

Kanwar Bhutani
Kanwar Bhutani, till recently managing director of Tupperware, India, has been appointed president of the company’s U.S. operations.

Bhutani, a 10-year veteran at the $1.1 billion firm, returns to the U.S. after doubling the company’s reach from 22 cities to 48 cities and expanding the sales force to 55,000, according to an official press release.

“Taking charge as president, Tupperware USA is a challenge that I am looking forward to. India has been a truly wonderful experience, one that I hope will be a guiding light in all future endeavors,” he said.

An MBA in corporate finance from the New York University, the 40-year-old Bhutani joined Tupperware as director, market intelligence and forecasting in Orlando, Florida. In 1996 he was made regional vice president, sales, pacific region. Under his leadership the region, including Southern California, Hawaii, Guam, Nevada and Arizona emerged as the number 1 market for the company. His last assignment with Tupperware, USA before going to India was as vice president, sales compensation in Orlando.
