Stampede kills 5 in N. Delhi

New Delhi : Four women and a teenaged girl were killed on Nov. 13 in a stampede as hundreds of passengers rushed to get into a train at the New Delhi railway station.

Six people were injured in the tragedy that took place when people hustled towards the Patna-bound Jan Sadharan Express on platform number three, a release said. Railway Minister Lalu Prasad ordered an inquiry into the incident by senior railway officials. The tragedy occurred on a bridge leading to platform number three as passengers rushed toward it.
