The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is distributing a poster on ‘Common Muslim Head Coverings’ with a brief explanation of Islam. The poster is similar to the one issued by the department on Sikh head coverings.

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) said it worked with the DOJ to create the poster, which will be distributed to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

“Ten thousand color posters were printed as a result of the ADC’s participation in regular meetings with Assistant Attorney General Alex Acosta. In a letter to ADC, Acosta said that posters are indicative of the DOJ's ‘continued efforts to educate government officials about the practices and beliefs of vulnerable minorities,’” the ADC’s Web site said.
