Metuchen, New Jersey-based EBC Radio changed its program format for an entire week to help several of its listeners use it as a message board on tsunami disaster and relief, starting from Dec. 27.

“We helped people connect with each other... this helped many worried listeners get some relief knowing that their relatives are safe [in the Tsunami-affected region],” Alka Agrawal, chief operating officer and general manager of the station, told News India-Times.
