Spruha Magodia, a 13-year-old from New Jersey has become one of the youngest novelists. Her fantasy-fiction, ‘Entwining Worlds: From the Other Side’ was released at a launch event at Ramada Inn and Conference Center, North Brunswick, NJ, on Jan. 8, with 200 guests, according to her father.

“We knew she had a flair for writing even from the age of seven, when she wrote her first poem called ‘Four Season,’” Kiran Magodia, the proud mother of Spruha, told News India-Times. Published by the New York publishing company Efforts Unified, ‘From the Other Side’ is first of a series. The 416-page paperback is the story of a teenager who wants to run away from his life in New York and ends up in a magical place. The novel illustrates his adventures in the fantasy land. He learns the hard way that sometimes when you weave a large web of lies, the person who gets caught in it is you. The novel is apparently inspired by Harry Potter series.

As an 11-year-old, Spruha wrote the plot for her version of the series, ‘Harry Potter and the Princess of Phoenix,’ which was selected among the top 25 winners from around the world in an online competition. “After spending a couple of month’s time writing her own version of the famous series, at the age 12 she imagined a fantasy-fiction plot so interesting that she just could not resist writing it... The story became her obsession, and writing developed into a full-fledged hobby,” Spruha’s mother added. Aside from writing, Spruha pursues her interest in arts, dance and music. She is a freshman at JP Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey. ‘From the Other Side’ is available online at www.amazon.com for $19.95 and will be available at Barnes & Noble some time in March, the parents said.
