NRI Parents Welfare Forum set up

NEW DELHI: An NRI (Nonresident Indian) Parents Welfare Forum has been established for networking the parents of Indians living abroad, according to a press release issued by a New Delhi-based Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (Indian Council for International Cooperation.

The forum is aimed at addressing problems faced by parents whose children live and work abroad, such as security, visa procurement, health care, insurance and loneliness, Baleswar Agarwal said on behalf of the organization.

Established just a month ago, the NRI Parents Welfare Forum will initially focus on liaisoning with the government, diplomatic missions, airlines, medical personnel, security agencies and insurance authorities, among other, in an effort to address these issues, he added.
