NEW YORK –– Ambika Nath, student of Uniondale High School in Hempstead, Long Island, was chosen from students nationwide to participate in the 2005 ‘Jason Expedition.’ The expedition will take her to the Louisiana Wetlands for two weeks to study the frog population as an indication of the environmental impact on the wetlands, a press release said. Hempstead Town Councilwoman Dorothy L. Goosby presented an official Town of Hempstead Certificate of recognition to Nath at the reception hosted in her honor by the high school.
