10th grader elected President of class government


Jeevan Thomas
New York –– Jeevan Thomas from Sachem East High School, Farmingville, Long Island, was elected president of class government of his 10th grade. Contesting against two other candidates, Thomas was elected by an electorate consisting of over 1,500 students, a press release said. “Being the class president, I hope to achieve and fulfill the desires of the student body and to set up more after school programs where students can have fun and learn something at the same time,” said Thomas. A member of the National Honors Society, Thomas is also a member of Volunteer Club; Breakdancing Club; Renaissance Academic and Sports Excellence and the Human Relations Club, the release said.
