The
India Abroad Center for Political Awareness (IACPA) is
seeking interns for the fall and winter semesters, beginning
in early September.
Skills
Qualified applicants should have excellent oral and written
communication skills, ability to use the Internet and other
resources for research, and a demonstrated interest in
public affairs. All majors are encouraged to apply.

IACPA currently hasngs for four (4) legislative
interns and two (2) communications intern. A description of
these positions follows:
LEGISLATIVE
INTERNS: Responsible for maintaining
background information and updated information on IACPA's
policy issues. Submit weekly updates and monthly summary
for publication. Work may include attending coalition
meetings and/or Congressional hearings and drafting IACPA
press releases. Click here for
current policy issues. Excellent writing and research
skills required.
COMMUNICATION
INTERNS: Responsible for designing and editing
IACPA's website and newsletter. Position involves
coordinating with legislative interns and editing
information for publication, updating website to reflect
new information. Knowledge of HTML, web design, and/or
desktop publishing a plus.
Pay
Positions are currently unpaid, however, interns receive (a)
a high level of responsibility, and (b) outstanding letters
of recommendation.
